Annual Summer Bible Series
Wednesdays at 7:00 PM
June–August
MOTIVATE – 08
A "motive" is a
factor inducing a person to act in a
particular
way. "Motivation"
is the reason or reasons behind
one's
actions or behavior; enthusiasm. "Motivate"
is to provide with a motive for doing something.
Spencer Johnson, author of
Who Moved My Cheese?
states
he "believes research may one
day show that the only
long-lasting motivation will come
... in the form of God,
spirituality, or something else that
causes them to 'rise to a
higher purpose.'"
So, what motivates you? Are you
motivated? — For what? To
accomplish what?
The 20th Annual Summer Bible
Series at CrossRoads
Fellowship host incredibly gifted
communicators who will
inspire, instruct and motivate
through the absolute source
of truth, the Bible. The ultimate
motivators according to
the Scriptures are faith, hope and
love. You are invited to
experience deeper spirituality and
life-truths that will help
you 'rise to a higher purpose’ and
experience your best life
now! Join us on Wednesdays
throughout the summer at 7 pm
beginning June 4 at the CrossRoads
of Hwy. 191 and Billy Hext Blvd.

June 25
– Linn Winters
In 1995 after serving in
youth ministry for 17 years,
Linn Winters felt God
leading him
to start a church – a place
where the Bible would be
taught without compromise
but in a way that made a
difference on Monday. In
April of '95, he began a
Bible study in an apartment
clubhouse that has grown to
be what Cornerstone is
today. Linn is the founder
of Cornerstone Christian
Fellowship in Chandler,
Arizona – one of the fastest
growing churches in America.

July 9 –
Stewart McWilliams
After completing his
undergraduate degree,
Stewart McWilliams moved to
West Texas
and began his ministry
career at our old location
in downtown Odessa. While
there, he
met and married his wife,
Kristi. In 1998, Stewart
moved his family to Colorado
Springs to help start
Fellowship of the Rockies.
The church is located in the
least churched section of
the city, with only a
handful of churches serving
over 50,000 people. In just
over 10 years, it has grown
from a few families to over
600 in attendance.

20 – Michael Franzese
Just a few years ago,
Michael Franzese was "one of
the biggest money earners
the mob had seen since Al
Capone." His autobiography,
Blood Covenant, tells his
story from the early days in
the mob and rise to power
through his Damascus Road
experience that changed his
life forever and led him to
do the unthinkable, the
unexpected, and by some, the
unbelievable - quit the mob
and follow Jesus. The story
of his conversion is a
testament of God's
willingness to reach into
the heart of any
man regardless of their past
or the present condition of
their lives. |
